Kenneth L. Reagan - Principal

Ken is a lifetime native of Idaho and graduated from Kimberly High School and the University of Idaho. Ken spent the first 10 years of his career in the income tax department of Boise Cascade Corporation. After a successful corporate career, Ken transitioned to public accounting and worked for a small local accounting firm before forming Reagan Parks & Associates with two of his colleagues.

The past thirty-plus years have been spent working as an owner of this firm. Ken enjoys interacting with his clients and the personal and professional relationships he has developed over the years. When not in the office, he enjoys hunting, fishing, playing tennis, watching all sports, and family activities.

Ken is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Idaho Society of Certified Public Accountants.

Derone M. Johnson, CPA

Derone has spent the last 18 years developing his public accounting practice with Reagan Parks & Associates. During this time Derone has gained extensive experience providing his clients with high-end public accounting and and tax services, including income tax planning and entity formation strategies, preparing individual and partnership, LLC, Corporation and S-Corporation, Fiduciary, Trust, Estate, and Gift tax returns. Derone has successfully represented clients in front of the IRS, on audit-related matters, and also provides Financial statement compilation and reviews, payroll services, and business consulting. 

Derone's ideal client situation is a proactive relationship where the client is encouraged to communicate their needs, goals, and financial results periodically throughout the tax year so Derone can actively plan with the client to obtain optimal tax results that are consistent with the client's goals. Tax planning is often a balance between reducing tax liability, while also maximizing the tax savings per dollar spent. Derone's ultimate goal with clients is to listen, understand their goals, and provide custom services for the client's needs whether it is proactive planning throughout the year or annually at tax time. The firm's ultimate goal is to add as much value for the client as possible. 

Derone graduated from the University of Idaho with a B.A. in Business/Accounting in 1995. He currently lives in Boise with his wife Katie and 3 children - Aly, Reggie, and Zach and enjoys family activities, including kids' school and sporting events, and when time permits; golf, camping, and the many outdoor activities that Idaho has to offer. 

Derone is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Idaho Society of Certified Public Accountants, and has served as treasurer for several non-profit groups and youth sports teams.

Dawna Buckingham - Office Manager

Dawna is the face of our office and is responsible for many of the day-to-day office responsibilities needed to keep the firm running smoothly. She always has a smile on her face even during the busy season. Dawna has worked for Reagan Parks & Associates in various capacities since 1996.

When not in the office, Dawna enjoys spending time with her kids and playing with the grandchildren, traveling with friends and family, and is very active in outdoor activities, including mountain biking, tennis, skiing, snowshoeing, and golf.

Erin Christophel - Tax Associate and Bookkeeper

Erin graduated from College of Western Idaho in 2023 where she obtained an Associates Business degree with a focus in accouning. With a commitment to continued professional growth, she is currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Boise State University. As a QuickBooks certified professional, Erin brings experience in bookkeeping to our office. Beyond work and school, Erin stays busy with her three kids and their sports endeavors in soccer and high school wrestling. In her spare me, she enjoys reading and tending to her backyard chickens.
